Barbara Holland
I am the woman behind BlackStone Studio. Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved to create and design! I knew early on that whatever I chose to do in life had to be artistic. I decided to become a graphic designer, and eventually my passion for design expanded to the web. I’ve been working as a graphic and web designer since 2005 and have loved every minute of it!
I am originally from the border town of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, México. Raised between two countries enabled me to go to school in both the US and México, so I became fluent in both the English and Spanish language and culture.
I attended the University of Monterrey and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Graphic Design. Afterwards, I moved to San Antonio, Texas, where I earned a second degree as a Multimedia Specialist from Northwest Vista College. During my last year at Northwest Vista, I interned and later worked for a local advertising agency as a Graphic Designer.
In March 2008, I started my own design studio in San Antonio, Texas. I decided to name my business BlackStone Studio after my hometown of Piedras Negras. From the start, my goal has been to offer quality custom graphic design and website services at an affordable price. I work directly with each client from start to finish. I enjoy helping startup companies establish their graphic and online identity and I also love to work collaboratively with other design or marketing agencies on projects for their own clients.
Justin Holland
Justin is the man behind the woman behind BlackStone Studio. He is my top advisor, my best friend, my biggest supporter - and my husband! He also takes part in promoting BlackStone Studio's services and finding new potential clients, as well as being my second shooter in almost every photo session. He has such a creative spirit and an incredibly innovative mind!
Cinko Holland
Cinko oversees and coordinates of all things security at BlackStone Studio. He wrote the book on "Stranger Danger". Any unusual noise, unfamiliar face or sign of threat, and he will alert everyone in the office immediately and without hesitation. He is not only man's best friend, but also this woman's best buddy and protector.
Happi Holland
Happi is in charge of maintaining and measuring BlackStone Studio's creative performance. When she feels the work environment is becoming stressful, stale or boring, she literally jumps at the chance to make everyone in the office loosen up and reminds us that happiness, fun and laughter enhance creativity!
