A marketing piece, an informational guide, an audience engagement tool, and a keepsake. A program book is all of these things. I’ve worked on many program books as a graphic designer. Still, I recently found myself thinking about how multifaceted they can be. They contribute to your branding while adding professionalism and credibility. They hold essential information about the sequence of events, the context, and the people involved. They enhance the experience for the audience by helping them follow along and connect intellectually or emotionally to what the event is about. And lastly, a well-designed program book can serve as a souvenir to take home.

I’ve had the opportunity to design several program books for Camerata San Antonio. The one I’m sharing today is for the first few performances of their new season, which began earlier this month.
