I’m thrilled to announce that BlackStone Studio has been awarded three 2018 American Graphic Design Awards! This annual competition by Graphic Design USA honors outstanding new work from creative professionals from all over the country. Roughly 10,000 entries were submitted this year alone, and only a highly selective 10% were recognized. I’m so honored to be a part of that group! Check out the winning projects below.
I’m so pumped to tell you about the newest website that BlackStone Studio just launched! My longtime client, Ubaldo Parra, is the owner of LED Electric & Lighting Contractors. I designed their logo and website a while ago. I’m sure you’ve seen their vans around town! Ubaldo reached out to me a few weeks ago to create a brand new website dedicated to one part of his business. So, we designed LED Electric Retrofit, a separate site focused specifically on lighting retrofit services—you have to see their before and after photos, they are amazing! So check out their new site at www.ledelectrictx.com
I’m excited to share that BlackStone Studio just launched a new website for Yo Yo Trucking, a local company that can haul a variety of materials. Jake Bernhard, the owner, has been a long time client and friend so I was very happy to work on this project with him. Our biggest challenge on this website was content. The nature of this business doesn’t require much online information. He didn’t need product pictures, before/after photos, lengthy service descriptions, or complex informational content. His services are simple and straightforward. His potential clients just want to know three things: who the company is, what they can haul and how to get in contact with them. So we decided his website should reflect that in a clear and concise way. The result is a beautiful, one-page minimal site and that’s easy to navigate and super practical. This October, SACMS will be opening their 76th season with the critically acclaimed Brentano Quartet accompanied by the 5-time Grammy Award winner and beloved American soprano, Dawn Upshaw. And that’s only the first show! SACMS presents five concerts each year, and none of them ever disappoint!
With every season, comes the need to create new and fresh graphics to promote the performances and concert ticket sales. I work closely with specific board members to achieve this. Together, we create brand-cohesive material that compliments their program book. We carry those design elements into their website, revamping it with each season, and creating new promotional online graphics to share on social media and through email marketing.
It’s so important to keep your online presence fresh so that your existing and potential clients always have the most up to date information when they visit your site. Three years ago, I designed a new logo and website for a local dental practice, Wholesome Dentistry. This month, BlackStone Studio was happy to work with Wholesome Dentistry again! We did a full website revamp that included all new photography, a sleeker and more contemporary layout, and a comprehensive list of services and visit information. BlackStone Studio recently launched a new website for Bingham & Lea, P.C., a local law firm where trial attorneys, Ben Bingham and Royal Lea, have practiced law together for over 25 years. Their main goal was to move away from a traditional legal template to a simple, clear and professional site that’s easy to navigate. Take a look at their brand new website at www.binghamandlea.com
