Supporting Non-profit and Local Events

BlackStone Studio has been involved in supporting non-profit organizations since 2010. I look forward to continue to do this in the years to come. Below are some of the community events I have been a part of so far.

San Antonio Firefighters Cancer Fund

In 2018, I donated my graphic and web design services to the San Antonio Firefighters Cancer Fund, a local organization that provides active duty San Antonio firefighters and their families with an opportunity to receive assistance when dealing with cancer. I designed their logo, created several flyers for them and kept their main event’s website for Hero Fest updated throughout the year.

Build the Smile Events

Since 2013, I take part in the Build the Smile parties. Two annual events, a Ginger Bread Man decorating party in the winter and an Easter egg decorating party in the spring. Both events are completely free to the community and they focus on bringing a morning of fun and friendship to kids and their families. These event are organized by my awesome and generous clients at builderguides.com, Steve and Louana Tyson. I donate the design of their promotional flyers and help out as a volunteer the day of the events.

Landa Gardens Conservancy

In 2011, I donated my web design services to the Landa Gardens Conservancy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to beautify and maintain the grounds at the Landa Library, a branch of the San Antonio Public Library. The gardens are gorgeous throughout the whole year and their playground is a fun place to take your kids for a fun afternoon outside. During the month of May they have multiple weekly events that are fun for kids. And every fall they hold their annual Landa Nights garden party, a lively evening with dancing, gourmet food and cocktails.

Cordillera Ranch Shindig

For five years I donated my web design services to the Cordillera Ranch Shindig, an event that raised thousands of dollars to benefit various Kendall County charities. This event was held every other year and a committee of wonderful women from Cordillera Ranch organized and planned the entire night. I redesigned, revamped and updated their website so they could share all the details and fun activities that would be held before and during the event.

Harper's Roar

In 2014, I was happy to donate graphic design services to create t-shirt artwork for Harper’s Roar. Sweet baby Harper Singh was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy about the time she was 5 months old. Harper’s family was selling “Harper’s Roar” t-shirts to help raise awareness for SMA, as well as funds for Harper’s medical expenses and other families of SMA.

Cattle Baron's Gala

In 2013, I donated time and graphic design services to the Cattle Baron’s Gala benefiting the American Cancer Society. I reached out to my awesome clients who jumped at the chance to donate auction items to help raise money for the great cause. In addition to that, I completely redesigned the Cattle Baron’s website with a fresh new look and collaborated with Sharkmatic Advertising in creating their new logo design.

Aim For A Cure - Fight Like Christopher Giesey

In 2010 and 2011, I had the opportunity to be part of the sponsors for the Aim for the Cure – Fight Like Christopher Giesey sporting clay tournament held at the San Antonio Gun Club. This is a non-profit event to raise awareness and fund continued research for Lymphoma, specifically Burkitt’s Lymphoma. My sponsorship helped purchase the cool orange koozies that were used during the tournament.

Livestrong Foundation - Austin Marathon Runner Jennifer Trimmier

My good friend Jennifer Trimmier ran and finished the Livestrong Foundation Austin Marathon in February 2011. She trained for months and was able to raise $5,995. I’m happy to share that I was able to play a small part in her amazing journey. I made a monetary contribution, and I also donated a flyer design for a yoga event she held to help her raise money.
