Dedicated Partnership Retainer

Ongoing and reliable graphic design support, when your business needs it.

I can serve as a dedicated graphic design partner, handling design projects that come up throughout the month so your brand stays consistent without the overhead of hiring in-house.

Dedicated Partner

This retainer-based partnership comes in 3 or 6 month time frames and can be renewed as needed. You’ll have a set number of hours reserved on certain weeks each month. During your scheduled time, I can work on planned projects, ongoing updates, or simply be available if something comes up.

Fixed Schedule

Fixed Schedule

If you prefer a consistent routine, we can reserve the same days and time slots each week. Your hours are blocked on my calendar in advance so you always know when your work is being handled.

Flexible Schedule

Flexible Schedule

If your workload shifts from week to week, you can choose different days or times each month. Just let me know your preferred schedule at least a week ahead so I can plan your hours accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect?

Once you decide to move forward, you’ll pay the retainer at the start of each month. You’ll get dedicated design support during the agreed upon hours in your package, which we can set up on a fixed or flexible schedule. At the end of the 3 or 6 months, you can decide if you’d like to renew and keep the same monthly hours or increase or decrease them to fit your upcoming projects.

How many hours do I get?

Your retainer is built around you. We’ll talk through what you need and decide on the number of hours that might work for that, as well as how often you’d like my support each month. You may want the hours spread across all 4 weeks, every other week, or one dedicated week a month. For example, you may only need a few hours of support each week, or you may prefer longer hours concentrated into a single week. We’ll make a reasonable estimate together and choose a setup that works best for your needs, your budget, and my schedule.

Can hours roll over?

Hours don’t roll over from week to week or month to month. Your scheduled time is reserved exclusively for you, which is what allows me to block my calendar specifically for your business and ensure you always have a designer available when you need one. Think of it less as hours and more as guaranteed access.

Is a retainer right for my business?

A retainer is a good fit for businesses with ongoing design needs, meaning you have multiple projects on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and want steady, dependable support. It’s perfect if you want a graphic designer on your team without having to hire in-house. If you simply have a long list of projects to knock out at once, a VIP Day might be a better fit, and if you only need occasional design help, you can always hire me on a per-project basis.

What kind of work can be done during my hours?

Your hours can be used for most graphic design projects. That includes designing new materials or updating existing ones, like flyers, brochures, reports, ads, social media graphics, signage, business cards, and stationery. Your hours can also cover expanding your brand assets or light logo work if it fits within your scheduled time. I can also help coordinate with printers or third-party vendors on anything related to your projects. If something falls outside my usual services or area of expertise, I’ll let you know upfront so we can plan accordingly.

How far in advance should I schedule my weeks?

If you’re on a fixed time schedule, we’ll set your specific days and time slots before your first month begins so they’re consistently reserved for your business each month. If you prefer a flexible schedule, you’ll need to request your days and time slots at least 1 week in advance so I can do my best to accommodate the timing for the following week.

What if I need extra time beyond my allocated hours?

If you need more time than what’s included in your retainer, we can continue the work at my standard hourly rate. If a request looks like it may take longer than the hours you have left, I’ll let you know so you can decide how you’d like to move forward.

Do you work on site or only remotely?

I work remotely. If you need on-site support, I can facilitate a limited set of hours for that, though it will affect the retainer pricing and travel time will count toward your allocated hours.

What happens if I don’t have design requests during a scheduled week?

I’ll be available during your scheduled time in case something comes up. If you don’t have any requests that week, the time simply goes unused since those hours are already reserved for your business. Unused hours aren’t refunded or rolled over.
