It’s easy to romanticize the freedom of being self-employed, but the truth is, flexibility only works when there’s structure behind it.
I’m intentional with my schedule so I can make time for life outside of work, which usually includes daily walks with Nacho. Clarity, communication, planning, boundaries, and follow-through are what make the “work from home” part actually work.
Finding that balance hasn’t always come easily, especially since I genuinely love what I do and can happily spend hours at my desk working on design projects. But Nacho wouldn’t let me get away with skipping walks for too long.
