Every year, the Gingerbread Man Decorating Party brings a morning of joy to kids in the local community, and I’ve had the pleasure of designing their event flyers for many years. These are always a treat to work on, as they’re one of the few projects where I get to flex my bilingual skills, creating one version in English and another in Spanish.
For this year’s flyer, I did a real dive into using full AI-generated graphics using Adobe Firefly. But it wasn’t a prompt-and-done scenario. Crafting the final look involved a lot of thoughtful writing, extensive manual adjustments to the rendered images, reusing them as references to generate better ones, and editing those even further until everything clicked. AI didn’t replace my creativity—it amplified it! It even inspired final touches like the icing effect on the main text that tied it all together.
