Last week, my sister and I went to see Kristina Kuzmic at the Tobin Center. We laughed, we cried, we laughed some more, and we also danced! It was an uplifting, hilarious, and fun night. I’d love to share with you three things I took with me from the show:
Don’t carry other people’s baggage.
Everyone has baggage and struggles in their life. Some people try to deal with theirs by putting them on you. Don’t take them! Don’t let others make you feel bad, guilty, or insecure about things that have more to do with them than with you.
Give yourself a sticker!
If you have to-do lists—like me—then add these three items to your list: Get out of bed, pee, and love your family. After you check those three things off, anything above and beyond gets you a sticker!
Focus on the good.
Not every day is good, but there is something good in every day. Instead of focusing on what you don’t have, be grateful for what you do. Stop being so hard on yourself over what you didn’t get done, and celebrate what you did accomplish, no matter how small!
If you have a chance to see Kristina Kuzmic live, definitely do! Her show is fun, thought-provoking, interactive and 100% entertaining. Have a great week!!!
