
It’s easy to spot, and even easier to ignore. If it’s overly formal or so vague it could apply to any business, I’m just not a fan.
But I am a fan of personalizing AI copy. Give it custom instructions, use it as a starting point, and make it sound like you.
AI tools are great for saving time and sparking ideas, but they’re not a substitute for your voice. I’ve seen too many business owners copy and paste straight from the AI without providing any direction or edits, and the result often sounds generic or too polished.
To avoid that, you need to add context, guide it with personalizations, and shape the output into something you’d actually say. Think of AI as a co-editor, not a ghostwriter. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel, but your message should still sound like you.
