I’m just not a fan… of getting things done just to be done

I’m just not a fan of getting things done just to be done

Sometimes “done” really is better than “perfect”, but when that means quality falls through the cracks, I’m just not a fan.

But I am a fan of working fast and focused. The ability to get things done well, on schedule, while keeping standards high.

We’ve all heard that “done is better than perfect,” and sometimes that’s true, especially for those of us who get caught up in the details. But details matter, and there’s a difference between working thoughtfully and just checking boxes to get things wrapped up. There’s real skill in staying focused and finding the balance where you meet your standards and still stay on—or even ahead of—schedule. And here’s where two of my negatives become a positive: I’m both a perfectionist and impatient. Two traits that are usually considered flaws, but combined, they make me a graphic designer who wants things done well and done fast. So, over the course of my career, delivering quality design with a quick turnaround is something I’ve become known for.
