Whether it’s a drawn-out personal story leading to a sales pitch or a never-ending list of topics and links, I’m just not a fan.
But I am a fan of emails that deliver value. Make it short, visually engaging, useful and don’t send it out more than once a week.
We all get a ridiculous amount of emails as it is. So, why not make yours a resource instead of a nuisance? Lately, I’ve noticed more email newsletters going so minimal in their design that they’re basically just paragraph after paragraph of straight, long-winded text. While it’s meant to sound conversational and friendly, my attention span waves the white flag.
What kind of newsletters do you stick around for?
