Touring the Majestic Theatre reminded me why details matter so much to me as a graphic designer. Some were clearly planned from the very beginning, the architecture, the symbolism, the patterns woven into the space. You can feel the intention behind them.
Other details feel more spontaneous and personal, layered in by the people themselves, like the stagehand signatures or the performers’ wall art backstage. Together, the carefully designed elements and the unexpected human touches give the space its unique personality. It was a good reminder that design, in any form, is a mix of both.
