Logo Design
& Deliverables

$975

Creating a custom business logo is one of the first steps in developing your brand. An effective logo should be memorable and versatile, but most importantly, it should reflect your company’s personality and style.

Turnaround

I usually book projects 1-2 months in advance. Once we get started, however, the design process typically takes between 3-4 weeks. This depends on client response time and rounds of revisions.

*What do reasonable rounds of revisions mean?

I don’t limit the rounds of revisions because I feel that puts pressure on both of us. If we go over 3 rounds of revisions while doing minor tweaks to finalize the design, that’s reasonable. If, after 3-4 rounds of changes, we are not getting any closer to a final design. Or if you suddenly decide you want to start over or want something completely different. That would be regarded as unreasonable and out of the scope of the project.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect?

The design process starts with a discovery session where you tell me about the vision, ideas, and color preferences you have. I ask that you email me logo samples that you like (whether they are in the same industry or not.) This is so I can get a more visual understanding of what you’re looking for in terms of style.

Then I design 3-4 logo options using different icons, colors or fonts. You may choose one as is, or we can make a reasonable amount of revisions on one (or mix and match ideas from several) until we get to a design you like.

Once the final logo is approved and the balance is paid, I prepare the final files and email them to you to keep.

How long does everything take?

The first proof takes me about a week to create, and after that, it depends on how fast I get feedback from you and how many changes you request. Usually, the following proofs take 1-2 days, but sometimes if they are minor tweaks, I’ll have the next proof the same day you send me the feedback. On average, a logo is completed in about 3-4 weeks.

Do I only get one final logo?

Yes, while we create different concepts in the initial stages, you will keep ownership of only one final logo design. However, it will include up to two main layouts (vertical and/or horizontal) and up to two possible alternate layouts of that same logo (with a tagline or in a circular seal/stamp arrangement.)

What if I don’t like the logo design?

You are involved in every step of the project, so the final design will not be a surprise. However, if for some reason you don’t like anything in the first proof I send you, that would be a sign that we might not be a good fit and we can decide to cut our losses there. That means I would keep the deposit to cover the work done up to that point, and you wouldn’t owe any other balance, but you also wouldn’t own any files created.

Do I own the font used in my logo?

I use fonts that are either licensed or are free to use for commercial purposes. You will not own the font itself. When I release the logo to you, the fonts are converted to vector. I can give you the name of the fonts and guide you in where to purchase or download them, but I cannot redistribute them directly to you.

Do I get my logo in Pantone colors?

I design your logo primarily in CMYK and RGB color modes. In the Logo Style Guide I provide to you, I include Pantone color values  suggestions for your logo. However, I strongly suggest setting up a meeting to go over the color decks in person to confirm that you agree with my selections before using them as a reference with your vendors.

What if I already have a logo, and I only need the collaterals designed?

I can help design any collaterals, regardless of whether I designed your logo or not. Browse my graphic design page to see pricing on some of the items I can help you create!

Can you change or tweak my existing logo?

Possibly. I’d need to know what file formats you have your current logo in. A vector file is preferable. If you only have a JPG, I’d have to recreate the entire logo from scratch before I can modify it. I’d also need to know what type of changes you’d want me to make to it before I could take on the project.

Can you copy the design from a logo I found online?

No, sorry. While I’ll ask you to send me samples of logos you like, those are solely for me to get a better visual insight into the design style, colors, and fonts you like. We can draw inspiration from the work of others, but I will not copy or plagiarize anyone’s design.
