Anyone who knows me well knows I am not a big sports person. I don’t follow football, basketball, or, much to my family’s dismay, soccer. However, I don’t have to be a sports fan to get excited about designing a logo for a sports-related business. Risen Sports and Entertainment is a full-service agency representing athletes, coaches, and management in various sports. I had the awesome opportunity to help design their logo. The owner, a practicing attorney and NFLPA contract advisor, had a clear vision of what he wanted the logo to embody—the athletes they represent and the company’s faith. I designed a semi-abstract icon paired with strong typography and vibrant colors to achieve just that. So, yeah, I might not be into sports, but I had a blast working on this logo!
