Would you wear it?

Barbara and Justin at the Great Texas Airshow

Allan Peters says a good logo has to pass the “Would you wear it?” test. My husband Justin and I wear ours all the time. Here we are inside a C-17 Globemaster at the Great Texas Airshow a couple weeks ago proving the point. Mine on a visor, his on a tee. Two logos, both designed by me, worn not for promotion but because we love them.

A logo should represent your business, not your personal taste. But when it’s done right, those two things shouldn’t feel that far apart. When it stops feeling like just a marketing tool and starts feeling like something you genuinely identify with, that’s when you know it’s working. That’s the goal every time I take on a new client.

If you’re not wearing your logo proudly, let’s chat!
