Decorating Cascarones

Apr 13, 2022 | This and That

As a kid, decorating the cascarones was one of my favorite things to do for Easter. I used to get the store-bought kits that came with the metal loop to help dunk the egg into the cup of dye—yet somehow, I always ended up with multi-colored fingertips. After putting all that time into creating my colorful masterpieces, I would then count down the days until I could destroy them! Chasing and being chased by my cousins to crack the confetti-filled eggshells over each other’s heads was definitely our Easter celebration’s most exciting activity for kids and grownups alike. What were some of your favorite childhood Easter traditions?
