Something many people don’t know about me is that I’m terrible at remembering phone numbers. Ironically, I still know my childhood number. But anything after that is gone. Even so, sometimes I miss landlines. I liked the feeling of pressing down actual buttons and being able to hold the phone hands-free without it sliding down my cheek. I definitely took for granted the sometimes necessary satisfaction of slamming down a phone without worrying I’ve cracked the screen. But I don’t miss having to memorize numbers! So, I’m very grateful for the evolution of the telephone. Mine allows me to connect with my clients in an instant. While I probably won’t remember their numbers by heart, I will never forget the fantastic projects we work on together! Do you still remember your childhood phone number?
