No matter your field, everyone eventually experiences a slump in ideas. A lack of inspiration can be frustrating—I’ve been there! Here are a few ways that help me get through a creativity block:
- Detach: It’s probably the hardest for me, but walking away from a project for a few hours (or a few days) helps me see things in a fresh way when I return to it.
- Work out: I hate that this works because I have to force myself to exercise. Yet, I always feel reenergized and clear-headed after a workout.
- Talk it out: This is my favorite because I typically need to process thoughts verbally. Simply talking it out with someone allows the ideas to start flowing.
- Online Research: Finding inspiration has never been easier. Hunt for ideas on social media, but also try doing unexpected online searches that might take you down a new creative path.
How do you spark your creativity?
